Autumn
I've not posted here for awhile. It's been a busy and wonderful year with an extremely sad start. Losing my bestfriend from school was pure heart break and I still don't feel like it has actually happened. But through the emotions and experience of losing another friend I feel driven to live the gift of life we have been given and honour her life and those who have physically left us. I love you and whilst I am here and those who loved you are, a part of you will be here too.
This year I set about learning to love myself, all of me. Being aware of the negative and shadow aspects we all hold and consciously calling them out has been transformative in my approach to life. Creating new pathways in the brain and realising that thoughts can be changed...we are responsible for the lives we have created for ourselves.Yoga has been a little magic, meditation, Nature Connection, Herbs (mugwort), Trees, Louise Hay, Carolyn Hillyer, Workshops, Sacred Places, Stone Circles, Connecting with the Divine, Ritual, Ceremony, diving into the wild ocean and feeling the salty water envelop my body sun reflecting in gem like glimmers, learning about the power of Intent and learning new skills. I feel whole. I have opened my heart and the Universe is showering me with love and blessings.
I'll never stop learning and being inspired by the mysteries...

Group Exhibition
I'm in a Group exhibition that OPENS THIS WEEK...Please come and have a look. It's held at the Gallery at Coexist, Hamilton House Bristol. My work in the show is based on the landscapes that surround Bristol and how a major part of the beauty of Bristol is that amazing landscapes surround the city and it's not too long before you're in the countryside...... x x x

"follow your blisters"
I'm sharing this weeks horoscope from FREEWILLASTROLOGY www.freewillastrolgy.com. Robert Brezny does the BEST star signs... Bring on the blisters... get bliss-ters for doing a job that makes your heart sing....
Sagittarius
You may have heard the exhortation "Follow your bliss!", which was popularized by mythologist Joseph Campbell. After studying the archetypal stories of many cultures throughout history, he concluded that it was the most important principle driving the success of most heroes. Here's another way to say it: Identify the job or activity that deeply excites you, and find a way to make it the center of your life. In his later years, Campbell worried that too many people had misinterpreted "Follow your bliss" to mean "Do what comes easily." That's all wrong, he said. Anything worth doing takes work and struggle. "Maybe I should have said, 'Follow your blisters,'" he laughed. I bring this up, Sagittarius, because you are now in an intense "Follow your blisters" phase of following your bliss.

The Reality of Truth
ahhh this is interesting.......enjoy the Manna From Heaven... yes eating psychedelic mushrooms for spiritual enlightenment is written in the Bible...
manna=mushrooms
If you make it to the end of the film it does become a bit of an advert for a centre in Costa Rica that supports consciousness and healing...which sounds great but I'm guessing it's very expensive and exclusive...

commissions
This was created for a private customer. Specific details were asked and the idea is based on a self portrait by Iris Tree.
It also gives me the opportunity to tell you that my current web address is www.erinmacairt.net ... I keep getting emails from different people who ask if I want .com back... what a strange business to buy and sell web addresses...Sigh!

CAVE
'A cave is the archetype of the maternal womb'
A place of initiation, contemplation and rebirth...caves feature in many myths and fairytales. I love drawing caves into my artwork...they give me a feeling that the dark space is a passage way taking you through the paper to somewhere beyond the image. Caves are sacred places where one can experience complete darkness, held in the womb of the earth. This picture is from the Aliwee Caves in the magical Burren West Coast of Ireland. Just moments after I took this picture the lights were turned off and we stood in the darkest dark I've ever experienced. Shapes appearing before me like a hallucination...my brain trying to register any kind of light.
The cave is thought to be closely related to the symbolic HEART, and is often a place where the self and ego unite
