online shop
Moon calendars are now available to buy at my online store HERE!
I'm not sure what i think of online stores but sometimes you just got to try these things. I much prefer life a bit more personal, in the real world, sometimes i feel a bit old fashioned like i probably should have been born in another time ha ha Moon Calendars are also for sale in Brigden & Bayliss in Lewes

postcard from India
this is a postcard i sent from india to my mum.... it's a pen and ink drawing I did up in the mountains of the Western Ghats, in Kodaikanal. There were wild Bison up there...majestic beasts...you really don't want to get in the way of one of these amazing animals... they are huge! I like the stamps :)

old skool
I'm really enjoying working in a new medium...new to me anyway...Tempera painting is pretty much as old as you can get, and this is probably why I love it so much...like with etching I get a feeling of being connected to past traditions. I've been experimenting with my own found pigments in nature...chalk, mud, blackberries, charcoal but also bought some fine ground pigments from Cornellison & Son in London...an art shop founded in 1855.

Dead Men
Sam Astley is a musician, guitarist, producer and frontman to Penny Orchids. He also produces music for film, and his recent project 'Back Issue' won first prize at Danny Boyles' Shuffle Short Film Festival.
He asked me to create a film as a backdrop to DEAD MEN: Short Stories in Music at Lime Wharf, London. The film was used to inspire improvised instrumental music played live to an audience. I enjoy experimenting with moving images, the awe and wonder of nature captured in a moment, the simple beauty of the natural world and our relationship with it. Sometimes I think life or time is like a movie that can be broken down into frames...and along the way we do our own edit.
Here are a few pictures from the eve... mostly photos whilst setting up... more to come...
